Female Anime CharactersFemale Anime Characters

The 10 most inspirational and gorgeous female anime characters that have taught us about courage, kindness and emotional determination.

The world of anime isn’t all about battles and power. To me, it’s the female characters that are what make it unique. They are courageous, have heart and determination. Some are gentle, others are smart, and some don’t give up. Being around them has taught me about is real strength.

In this post I’ll discuss my top 10 anime females. Let’s get acquainted with every feminine anime heroine.

1. Tsunade Senju: Naruto

“Only in the case of money. Life is completely different story. Am I still alive?”

The voice actress who voices Tsunade Senju from Naruto voice actress is Debi Mae West. She breathes life and emotion to every character she voice. Her commitment to her work helps make Tsunade appear real and powerful on screen. A lot of fans appreciate her talent and dedication. She loves telling stories and interacting with her fans via her writing. She has also received awards for her other characters, like in her role in the Metal Gear Solid game series.

2. Mitsuri Kanroji: Demon Slayer

“I’m strong because I want to be kind to people!”

Mitsuri Kanroji of Demon Slayer is a funny character. She has a pretty pink and green hair and her sweet voice. The sight of her swiveling the sword that resembles a ribbon with such strength while remaining jovial was awe-inspiring.

3. Chihiro Ogino: Spirited Away

“I believe I’m capable of handling this now. I feel braver.”

Spirited Away was the first anime film I’ve ever seen. I was a youngster as was Chihiro. Yet somehow, she was more courageous than I did.

The film follows Chihiro who is trapped in a mystical spirit realm when she moves to a different community with her parents. The move causes her parents to transform into the pigs. Chihiro was left to her own devices and was seeking ways to get the parents to normal.

4. Kaguya Shinomiya: Love is War

“If I were to return to my birthplace… I’d like to feel normal. I’d like to love some one.”

The way she tried to win the love of Miyuki with clever tricks was hilarious but it was also incredibly real. I’ve tried to appear cool, just like her by hiding my feelings, and waiting for someone else to start talking first. This never works. There’s a scene during the school’s festival when she’s tempted to confess, but she isn’t. We’ve all been in that situation. The fear of revealing your identity is a challenge.

Her voice, recorded by Aoi Koga in Japanese and Alexis Tipton in English, made her feel real. Kaguya made me realize that love isn’t just a game. It’s about honesty even when it’s difficult.

5. Usagi Tsukino: Sailor Moon

“There’s no use in crying over misspelled silk!”

Usagi Tsukino is one of the most awkward girl, and the most whiney in the very first episode. Yet? She is now among the top strong cartoon characters of Earth.

What inspired me to love Sailor Moon wasn’t just her fights, the heart of her. She wept. She doubted herself. However, when her friends were threatened, she stepped up. Every. Single. Time.

The first time I watched her cries and how she transformed to save all I was able to see that real courage doesn’t appear flawless. It’s just there even when you’re scared.

6. Belarus: Hetalia: Axis Powers

“No one will keep me away from you.”

In the show, Belarus seems to care very much about her older twin brother Russia in particular, but she is obsessed with getting married to her brother. The story revolves around the issue of family, which illustrates how she longs for the affections from her loved ones.

7. Rin Nohara: Naruto

“I wanted to stay with you all… just a little longer”

Rin’s story continues to hurt. She was a sweet skilled ninja who was stuck in the middle of an armed conflict that ripped her to pieces. The moment she made a sacrifice in order to save her family… The moment I cannot watch it again without breaking up.

Rin’s strength was filled with emotion. She made a hard choice to protect her loved ones. When Kakashi found the note she left behind with hope and compassion all her fans cried.

8. Faye Valentine: Cowboy Bebop

“Survival of the fittest baby. That’s the rule of space.”

Faye is a complicated woman which is why I am in love with her.

She awakes in a new world that she doesn’t know. She’s lost all her memories. She appears cruel, selfish, and wild, yet it’s all just armor.

There’s an episode in which she comes across an old videotape that shows her as a kid. She laughs and weeps. She goes through it again and repeatedly. Faye showed me that often the strongest people are those who suffer the most. It’s fine to look for your true self.

9. Yumeko Jabami: Kakegurui

“Let’s make it fun, dangerously fun.”

Yumeko isn’t a gambler for money. She plays for excitement.

This is what makes her scary, and remarkable. In a world where everyone’s fake, she is completely in the present. She exposes lies simply by doing her wild, fearless self.

There’s a scene in which she puts herself at risk to play the game. That reckless, wild authenticity made me want take on more risks in my life too.

10. The Bulma Briefs Dragon Ball series

“Brains beat biceps, every time.”

Before super-powered warriors took off and destroying planets, there was Bulma holding a gadget in her palm and a strategy in her mind.

Bulma was the creator of Dragon Ball. She created Dragon Radar. Dragon Radar. She was able to survive in a realm of warriors using only the power of science, sass, and tenacity.

What I like most about her character is the fact that she’s and is smart, confident and courageous. Also, she’s hilarious. After everything went downhill, Bulma solved the crisis.

Final Thoughts

I’ve always been a fan of anime since I was a child. I can still recall the first time I was able to see Usagi crying as she defended her children. Bulma has always been one of my top choices. In the evenings, I would observe her coming up with amazing ideas that would never let you down. She was a smart woman who had a big-hearted look cool. I wanted to be her. Chihiro in the movie ‘Spirited Away”reminded me of myself.

Characters such as Mitsuri, Yumeko, and Kaguya have shown me various kinds of power. Kindness, confidence, even quiet bravery. I could see small snippets from me in each of them. They made me feel loved. They inspired me to continue and to be a person of deep concern and to stand up in my own unique way with a significant but subtle influence on me as an individual.

If you’ve never seen anime before, or already enjoy it, I’d like to get to know these girls as well. They may be with you as long as I stayed with them.
