Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, a popular Indian reality show, features celebrities dancing with professional dancers. This is the Indian version to two other shows: Strictly Come Dancing, and Dancing with the Stars. Each couple dances a specific dance to impress the judges and gain votes. The first four years were broadcast on Sony TV. Colors TV aired seasons 5 to 10 of the show. From season 11 forward, Sony Entertainment Television was the new home. Let’s see who won every season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Quick Overview

Before we find out who won the season, let’s discuss Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. This show features famous people collaborating with professional dancers. The dances are already decided, and they compete to earn points from the judges and votes of the audience. Every week, the pair that receives the least amount of votes and judges’ points is eliminated.

The idea for the show was borrowed from Strictly Come Dancing, broadcast on BBC One in Britain and Dancing With The Stars. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, however, is not broadcast live. Instead, it’s recorded in advance. It’s also the only spinoff to use recorded music rather than live music performed by a band. The song “Jhalak Dikhlaja” is sung by Himesh Rezhammiya and composed for the film Aksar (2006).

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 1 Winner Name – Mona Singh & Toby Fernandez (4 November, 2006)

The first Jhalak Dikhla Jaa was broadcast on Sony Entertainment on 7 September 2006. Mona Singh was the winner of the first season, which aired on 4 November 2006. Parmeet Singh and Archana puran Singh were the show’s hosts. Mona Singh’s role in Jassi is what she is best known for. She has appeared in web series such as Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain, and Yeh Meri Family. She currently stars as Simran on Zee Entertainment Channel’s Yeh Teri Galiyan.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 2 Winner Name – Prachi Desai & Deepak Singh (15 December, 2007)

Sony Entertainment began the second season of JDJ on 28 September 2007. Prachi Desai was declared the winner. She was a TV star before she made the transition to movies. Prachi made her debut in Rock On (2008). She is currently filming Kosha which will be released in 2019.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 3 Winner Name – Baichung Bhutia & Sonia Jaffer (31 May, 2009)

The show’s third season took two years to get the right celebrities. Shiv Pandit, Shweta Twari and the production team took over as hosts. The third season began on 27th February 2009 and the winner was revealed on 31st May 2009. Bhatia is a professional footballer who has represented India several times. Baichung is the manager of Sikkim’s Football team. He has also started a new party, “Hamro Sikkim Party.”

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 4 Winner Name – Meiyang Chang & Marischa Fernandez (6 March, 2011)

The team decided to create another season due to the show’s popularity. JDJ S3 was broadcasted by Sony Entertainment Television on 12 December 2010. Chang, also known as Indian Idol won the fourth season on 6 March 2011 Chang played Jimmy Woo in “Ant-Man and the Wasp”, a film dubbed by Chang. Meiyang hosts television shows and also appears in them.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Winner Name – Gurmeet Chaudhary and Shampa Gopikrishna (September 30, 2012)

Sony Entertainment Television did not have the space to show the entire season. The production team therefore sold the rights to Colors TV. JDJ Season 5 aired from 16 June to 30 September 2012 on Colors TV. Choudhary was the winner of 16 contestants. Gurmeet is a popular TV and movie star who has worked in soap operas. Choudhary is not working on any new projects for 2018, but he attends awards functions and hosts TV shows as a guest.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6 Winner Name – Drashti Dhami & Salman Yusuff Khan (14 September, 2013)

Season six of JDJ began on June 1, 2013 and featured great dance partners for TV stars. She featured tough competition from television and dance. Dhami was declared the winner by the judges on September 14, 2013. Dhami trained weekly for the competition while filming a soap opera. She is now a star of “Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka”, a Colors TV show. Dhami was a guest on Big Boss 12 in 2018 and invited to Dance Deewane. She appeared with Nakuul on “A Table For Two”.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 7 Winner Name – Ashish Sharma & Shampa Gopikrishna (20 September, 2014)

Season seven of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa premiered on 7th June 2014 with Ranvir Shorey hosting. Maksim Cmerkovskiy was the judge for two weeks. The winner of “Love Sex Aur Dhokha”, now stars on Sony TV in “Prithvi Valabh”. Since 2012, he has been focusing on TV shows with the help of choreographer Shampa sonthalia.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 8 Winner Name – Faisal Khan & Vaishnavi (10 October, 2015)

Khan was only 19 when he won the “Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 2”. Season eight ran between July 11 and October 10, 2015. In 2016, he took part in Khatron Ke Khiladi S7, Tuyul & Mba Yul Reborn. Khan, who didn’t win the competition, performs around the world and wants to become a Bollywood choreographer.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 9 Winner Name – Teriya Magar & Aryan Patra (21 January, 2017)

Magar was the winner of Season 9 and the production team began the show on July 30, 2016. On January 21, 2017 the judges announced that the young talent had won. The young lady won the final round by beating two talented dancers Salman Yusuff and Shantanu Mahaeshwari. Teriya was awarded the “Lumbini peace ambassador” award by the local committee. She received the Local Development Award from the Deputy Premier. Magar accepts invitations for dance performances and shows. Magar is also focused on her education and plans to continue studying.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 10 Winner Name – Gunjan Sinha & Tejas Verma (27 November, 2022)

Jhalak Dikhhla jaa 10 has a winner. Gunjan Sinha won. Faisal, a star on social media, and Rubina, a TV actor who is well-known, were named as the first and two runners-up. Gunjan took part with Tejas verma and Sagar Bora, a choreographer. They won a trophy and Rs. 20 lakh. Gunjan had a strong season. She was a Dance Deewane finalist. She impressed the judges with her performances every week, despite her age. In the final, her score overall helped her to win against popular stars.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 11 Winner Name – Manisha Rani & Ashutosh Pawar (2 March, 2024)

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’s 11th season, a popular dance show, started on November 11, 2023 and is now over. Manisha Rani was the winner of this season. She won Rs. She received Rs. Ashutosh Pawar received Rs. 10 lakh as a cash award for his choreography of Manisha. 10 lakh. This season’s judges were Arshad Wari, Farah Kan and Malaika Arora.
