Created and produced by Ekta Kapoor in association with Balaji Telefilms, Tumchya Aamchyatali Kusum was launched on October 4, 2021, on Sony Marathi and wrapped up on February 26, 2022, having completed an impressive 129 episodes. The show, which is a Marathi adaptation of the cult Hindi serial Kkusum has replaced Swarajyajanani Jijamata in the prime lineup of the network.

Telecast Details

Kusum was aired every Monday and Saturday at 8:30 pm (IST) at 8:30 PM (IST), with each episode lasting twenty-two minutes. The show was also available for streaming online through the SonyLIV platform and other platforms, such as Yupp TV.

Cast Ensemble

  • Shivani Baokar is the lead character Kusum Deshmukh Sarnobat–a cheerful, positive young woman who is juggling her responsibilities towards her family and home. This was one of her major role as a lead in Marathi television.
  • Ajinkya Nanaware is Anuj Kusum’s loving husband who supports her through life’s challenges and ups.
  • Ketaki Palav is featured in the role of Elisha Elisha, a key character who adds depth and intrigue to Kusum and Anuj’s lives.
  • Supporting cast members include Arti More Rahul Mehendale Shilpa Navalkar Mohiniraj Gatne Vedangi Kulkarni and Pradnya Jadhav. Each contributes to the rich character dynamics of the group.

Story & Emotional Arc

Kusum tells the story of a strong and beautiful young woman who is grounded, optimistic and empathetic. Even after she has married she is still able to focus on the needs of her parents, while also managing her new family. Her balance between passion, duty, love and emotion — strikes a chord with Marathi viewers which makes her character memorable and accessible.

The story follows Kusum’s evolution in her marriage and relationships with her in-laws and the challenges that test her character. As an Marathi adaption of the Hindi show Kkusum it focuses on the fundamental theme of sacrifice family obligation, and moral resiliency while bringing in specific cultural aspects to Marathi viewers.
